earrings?

It's a piercing question...to pierce or not to pierce.
Every local friend is pushing and encouraging us to get Lydia's ears pierced. "My daughter got her ears pierced when she was just 5 days old," "How are we supposed to know if it's a boy or girl without the telltale earrings?" (uh, hello, doesn't the bow on her head and the head to toe pink clothes, and her sweet girly face give you a clue?)

If we do it now, who takes all the responsibility for them? We, the parents.

Maybe it's better to treat earrings like a pet, when the kid can take care of them herself, we will think about it.

  1. My sister and I had to wait until we were 13 and we still had problems with them getting infected. We're planning to wait on Eva's until she can take care of them. She won't even keep a bow in her hair! I'm not tackling earrings! :) Funny how most people see no hair and think it's a boy! We had that problem with Eva forever. Even in head to toe pink! She looks like a happy little girl - you guys must be doing something right. :) Enjoying your blog.

Systematic Theology, Chapter 39

*Just a reminder that this study of Wayne Grudem's book, Systematic Theology, is not by any means me teaching, but rather a simple sum...
