Well here's our tree...it has actually been 5 years since I have had a tree in my house for Christmas! I guess that's the travelling life for ya... I sometimes wonder why they sell christmas trees here anyway, considering that the population is 99 percent Muslim, but I am not complaining! (On that note, my Arabic teacher was wondering if Santa Claus is some religious figure and that is why he is part of Christmas, and she thought the tree must be religious too...) It is quite a temptation for Lydia to not tear this down and pull it to pieces, but after a few finger swats, she has learned her boundaries. (She doesn't look too much the worse for a bit of healthy discipline, does she?)It is obviously still a fun attraction, and every morning about halfway through breakfast she realizes there's a tree in the house and yells and points at it and reminds us that a tree has invaded our house. Now comes the harder task of setting gifts under the tree and telling Lydia that she can't touch them yet!

Systematic Theology, Chapter 39

*Just a reminder that this study of Wayne Grudem's book, Systematic Theology, is not by any means me teaching, but rather a simple sum...
