We don't ride our camels, we EAT them!
I am used to seeing cows being hung up in front of the local butchers, displaying all the best parts...the intestines, head, great hunks of meat, etc... but this is the first time i have captured a camel butchers shop.
The best photo (hopefully i'll catch it soon) is when the head his hanging and a big long tongue is sticking out...almost as if the animal says, "i might be butchered but i'm gonna go out in style"

We took a trip down to the desert, and Daniel really wanted to "fit in". Ha, ok, actually we twisted his arm to allow some guy to put this on him, but it sure looks cool!
I guess Lydia didn't want to miss out on the fun, so she also has her safari hat on.
The real question, how do these women nurse their babies when they go out!? I hardly dare to go into the bathrooms for myself, so bringing Lydia in there to feed is no idea...feeding in public is considered disgraceful...and whenever i have tried to go around and hide somewhere it seems like soon enough people find us! Ahhhh, Lydia, why don't you like to drink from a bottle?!

swimming!
Ok, obviously we didn't just toss Lydia into learn how to swim, but she did VERY MUCH enjoy being carried around in the water! I have never heard her make so much grunting and squealing at one time...No bathing suit? Who cares...just throw a onesie on the kid and bring her in!
And of course no swim would be complete without a little underwater exploration...(don't worry, she even enjoyed that, despite the surprise factor).
I have a feeling that she is gonna be a swimmer...who would've guessed? Now, the next step after a nice heated indoor pool is the big bad ocean....that will be interesting. (Coming this summer!)

LLydia looooves Coca Cola...but don't worry, she hasn't tasted it yet!
She also likes the local variety, "boga apple." Cute, eh?
